Clean and Pretty: Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (review)

Another great discovery this summer has been Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare. Liz Earle is dedicated to bringing you their amazing high-quality, natural products with integrity, service and a deep respect for the environment.

Blurb: Our principles are the same today as they were on day one. Our products really work on every skin type by harnessing the potent powers of the finest quality ingredients. They can really make a positive difference to the health and appearance of your skin. We don’t complicate things. We love simple, fuss-free, gentle and effective products that are honestly priced. We do everything we can, from the personal way we answer the phone to beautifully hand-wrapping every item. We try never to let you down in all that we do, but if something’s not right, call us. Environment: It’s our legacy too, so we’re always working on improving our environmental impact. We know we are not perfect but the more we do, the better we get. Animal testing: We never do it. Ingredients: High quality, safe, naturally active ingredients are our priority. We only use potent, premium natural source vitamin E, never synthetic. None of our ingredients are of animal origin (except beeswax, propolis and manuka honey). All products are suitable for vegetarians.

A while back, I reviewed some foot care products (fab); and I recently tried out the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.

Blurb: This multi award-winning, concentrated cleanser quickly removes everyday grime and make-up, including stubborn mascara, to leave all skin types soft, smooth and radiant.

This wonderful cleanser also comes with two muslin cloths. The cloths are washable, durable and reusable, and boost the cleaning power. I filled a basin with hot water, applied the cleanser to dry skin and massaged the cream on my face and neck. I rinsed and wrung a cloth in the hot water and wiped the cleanser gently off. Then I rinsed completely with the remaining water. The result was super clean, super soft skin. The cleanser is extremely rich and gentle, and took off every bit of makeup (these days I'm wearing the heavy-duty, long-wearing stuff). This is also one of the few cleansers that is truly gentle enough for the eye area. It removed every smidgen of my eye makeup without being irritating at all. I love that this cleanser is so effective and so lovely to use!

There's also a Liz Earle for Men Cleanse and Polish (for…uh…men). In addition to the many (many!) products, the website also has lots of fun information (including a blog). Check it out.

Happy Friday!
