Act Naturally: One With Nature Dead Sea Mineral Lotions (review)

So first of all…um…duh. I tried to have this post automatically publish at 11:00am this morning. Except that I typed in 11:00pm instead. Apparently this makes a difference. (Who knew?) Thank goodness I got home tonight in time to realize that my review had not posted. And that there’s still time to publish it before Saturday is officially over. Disaster averted.

Silver Lining: If you happen to be up on a Saturday night at 10:45(pm) looking for a new post to read, you are so in luck.

Before the week is over, I just have to write about these fabulous hand and body lotions from One With Nature. This company makes awesome things and uses 100% natural Dead Sea products to create their skin and body care. They believe in producing their line in harmony with nature, and are also committed to the preservation of the Dead Sea.

Blurb: We are 100% natural. Environmental consciousness is the cornerstone of our business. Our soaps have a 100% vegetable base and do not include artificial colors, fragrances or animal ingredients of any kind. Our eye-catching colors result from a blend of plant and naturally-occurring mineral pigments found in the diverse climate zones of the region. The rich scents come from pure essential oils or other 100% natural sources.

The Dead Sea – a truly unique resource. The curative powers of the Dead Sea have been acclaimed for thousands of years, and have been widely used to treat acne, psoriasis and other skin disorders, as well as being used in the skin care regiments since the time of Cleopatra. Located at the earth's lowest point of elevation, the Dead Sea has a greater solid content than any other body of water. The salts and muds found here are abundantly rich in sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium and bromine. The salt from the Dead Sea is unique for its high proportion of potassium and magnesium ions and its relatively low sodium ion content. The mineral quality of the Dead Sea stimulates blood circulation and accelerates the natural exfoliation process, restoring the skin to its natural pH balance. The mineral-rich Dead Sea nourishes and revitalizes skin cells and has deep cleansing and purifying qualities, drawing toxins from the body.

I checked out two of their Restorative Hand and Body Lotions with dead sea salts and shea butter. The lotions are all-natural and made with quality ingredients. They are never tested on animals, and are free of preservatives, synthetic fragrances, artifical colors and animal ingredients.

Lavender Lotion

Blurb: With the soothing scent of lavender essential oils, this lotion is packed with Dead Sea minerals, muds, salts and shea butter combine to create a rich lotion that applies easily to the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves behind a luxurious feel on the skin - soft, healthy and long lasting, but never greasy.

Truly luxurious. Even though it has a thin texture (like a lotion), it softens like a rich cream. This lotion made my skin supple and smooth without being sticky or greasy. I also tried it on my sandal-weary feet in the evening and loved how it felt. The delicate lavender scent was also a big plus before bedtime.

Fragrance Free Lotion

Blurb: This lotion is packed with Dead Sea minerals, muds, salts and shea butter combine to create a rich lotion that applies easily to the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves behind a luxurious feel on the skin - soft, healthy and long lasting, but never greasy.

Why am I raving about something unscented? Well because I got all the same soothing, softening goodness I mentioned above and it didn’t compete with any fragrance. I can slather this on before going out and still use perfume. Also, since I can’t use scented products at work (co-workers are sensitive), this is perfect for my desk. Actually, this perfect for anyone who is sensitive to fragrances.

The other available lotions are Shea Butter and Coconut Lime (mmm). They also have a fab looking assortment of bar soaps, body washes and other great body care products. And while you’re touring the website, you can also learn about Dead Sea Conservation. One With Nature is sold in natural foods, specialty and grocery stores nationwide. Check out the Locations page (or just order online).
