It’s getting kind of late (okay more than kind of), but I absolutely cannot go to sleep until I get my beauty rave on. Estée Lauder’s holiday collections are amazing; and this year’s is no exception. And…I got to check out two fabulous items!

I reviewed one of the 5-color shadow palettes in July and fell in love. The packaging (gorgeous, sleek, and portable) and the formula (velvety, easy to blend, luxurious, and long lasting) are excellent. And the colors in this limited edition palette are superb. A series of tawny/golden shades ranging from palest champagne to a deep cocoa (which also worked as a beautiful liner). The colors are versatile, sophisticated, and can be worn for subtle effects during the day, then dialed way up for evening.
This was my first time trying a Pure Color Lipstick and I was blown away! The shade is a yummy berry with a hint of gold shimmer – absolutely lovely. The color is deep, highly saturated, and the finish is just the right balance of elegance and shimmer. The formula is incredible – rich, luscious and velvety. It softened my lips, felt amazing, and lasted like you wouldn’t believe. Not only did it stay put; but when it did start to wear off, it left a lovely berry-hued stain behind. A truly fabulous lipstick!
