Brighten Up! Liz Earle Eye Bright and Brightening Treatment Mask (review)

I’m feeling all kinds of cheerful (and...bright) today. Despite being woken up at midnight by arguing neighbors (and being a little short on sleep); I’m feeling extremely happy.

First, a good friend who hasn’t been feeling well seems to be on the mend. And secondly, I spent a whole weekend doing almost nothing. After weeks of running around, events and travel; I stayed home for two days and accomplished nothing more taxing than a home manicure. I also got caught up on episodes of Mad Men and Project Runway (btw: how much does Mondo rule?).

So, doesn’t it just figure that today I’m going to talk about something bright and cheerful? (Answer: yes, it does.) Today’s bit of brightness is from the extremely fabulous folks at Liz Earle.

Eyebright™ Soothing Eye Lotion

Blurb: Wake up and revitalise eyes with cotton wool pads soaked in this gentle, soothing herbal lotion before using Cleanse & Polish. Containing naturally active ingredients including eyebright – a tiny alpine herb, witch hazel, organic aloe vera and cornflower to help tone, cool and refresh tired, puffy eyes. Apply to a cotton wool pad to clean and wake up your eyes first thing. Naturally active ingredients include the herb eyebright to help reduce puffiness and dark shadows, toning witch hazel, cooling aloe vera and cornflower to soothe.

Brightening Treatment Mask

Blurb: Our fast-acting ‘minute’ mask instantly revitalises. Containing stimulating camphor oil and toning witch hazel to help give your skin a natural-looking radiance. Use in the morning or whenever a quick fix is needed. Naturally active ingredients include aloe vera to help cool and soothe, toning witch hazel and purifying white clay.

Just in case you didn’t get a nice relaxing weekend (or good news); these two products can still get you moving towards the happy place. Eyebright is one of the nicest eye products I’ve tried in a long time. It soothes, refreshes, de-puffs, minimizes redness, and even removes eye makeup. During allergy season (aka: now), it’s especially lovely.

The Treatment Mask is a wonderful way to instantly perk up your complexion. It purifies and tones; and it also softens and soothes. It immediately evens out my skin tone, minimizes pores, and gives me a nice glow. It’s not for super sensitive skin; but for everyone else, it’s an awesome revitalizing boost.

Check out the website. Right now Eyebright is part of the current autumn & winter offer. You can also take a look at the latest latest newsletter, and the holiday sneak peak.

I feel the need to extend the cheerfulness a bit. Here’s a picture of Mondo’s completely rad “Ready To Wear” winning look. Go Mondo! You da man!
