Temptingly Nude: Estée Lauder’s New Pure Color Gloss in Tempting Tearose (review)

Hmmm…my brain seems to keep “going there” this week, doesn’t it? No idea why (really...I swear).

But if you’re reading this, Mom, no worries! I’m talking about lip gloss. Innocent, wholesome lipgloss. Cause I think I’ve found the absolute perfect nude gloss for summer. New and shiny from Estée Lauder.

NEW Pure Color Gloss (in "Tempting Tearose")

Blurb: Lip Gloss with the power to light up your face. True Vision™ technology transforms ordinary color and makes it extraordinary. Imagine what it will do for your lips. In a wide range of wearable shades with lasting shine for a lasting impression. You'll want them all. Maximized color impact. Magnified vibrancy, clarity and dimension. Amplified brilliance. Each Pure Color Gloss shade comes in one of three distinct, multi-dimensional finishes.

The picture looks a tiny bit pinker than the actual gloss. It’s actually a rich taupe/mauve – and it looks awesome! Those of us with brown or olive complexions can have a really hard time finding a sexy nude gloss that doesn’t make us look washed out. Well this one looks amazing! The subtle pink/mauve tones are just enough to make it flattering. It’s chic, understated and thoroughly gorgeous. Perfect for either a natural, casual summer vibe, or a dramatic smokey-eye/nude-lip look.

Even if you aren’t looking for a nude shade; there are over 30 colors in the collection (from quiet to vibrant). And the formula is wonderful: great pigments, lots of moisture, luscious feel and tons of shine that really lasts!

If you haven’t visited the website for a while, it’s gotten pretty fancy (check out the Virtual Makeup Tool). And if you want to take an up close and personal look; visit the Estée Lauder counter in a nice department store (there are also 6 additional Custom Color Collection shades available exclusively at Nordstrom).
