Non Beauty-Related Post. New Movie: The End of the Line

Just putting out the word. I had a chance to preview the movie, The End of The Line. It's the first major feature documentary film that deals with the world's oceans and the impact of overfishing. It was presented in the US and UK on World Oceans Day (June 8, 2009). The movie began its US theatrical release last Friday.

For those of us who really want to make informed choices that help sustain our planet, this is an excellent source of information. While I didn't agree with every thing the movie had to say, I am thrilled that there is a film in wide release that promotes stewardship of our ocean and marine life. I'm also glad that it offers some good solutions and encourages political resolve and activism.

The End of The Line opens next Friday (July 3) here in Philly. Check here for a list of screenings throughout the country.
