Happy Almost-Friday! Vincent Longo Water Canvas Foundation (review)

Now that the warm weather seems to be staying around; it's time to start talking about all the lovely, light, warm-weather items that have been waiting to see the sunshine. Last summer I gave this foundation a very brief mention, but never got around to actually reviewing it. Which is a shame, because this foundation from Vincent Longo is one of my all time warm-weather favorites!

Water Canvas Creme-To-Powder Foundation (Oil Free)

Blurb: A patented and award winning Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder Foundation imparts a real-skin (neither too moist nor too matte) powder finish on the skin. The unique, ultra-lightweight and refreshing liquid/solid texture hydrates skin and allows it to naturally breathe. Contains 75% MicrowaterTM, a 100% natural botanical seaweed polymer and silica which maintain the skin’s moisture balance and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin E and SPF 8 protect the skin from free radicals and UV sun exposure.

Water Canvas Foundation Travel Compact

Blurb: A patented, climate controlled travel case for the Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder foundation. Keeps Water Canvas Creme-to-Powder foundation fresh and prevents product evaporation. Contains a mirror and a compartment for the Water Canvas Sponge. Refillable and portable, it is a one-time purchase that enables you to travel and refresh your makeup on the go.

No other foundation has a finish like this! Plain and simple, it looks like skin – only smoothed out and refined. It's not too matte, not too shiny, not too moist, not too dry – it's just right. The coverage is sheer (and slightly buildable). It goes on like a cream, then dries quickly to a natural finish that feels absolutely weightless. There's also a great selection of colors for a good match. It lasts, and even holds up to warm weather and a bit of exertion. You can't run a marathon in it, but it will still look good after a day of walking around outside. And speaking of outside, it even has a bit of SPF. It's also oil free and non-comedogenic. This is one of the best sheer-coverage foundations around!

And…even though the travel compact is sold separately, I think it's totally worth it. It locks up tight, holds a sponge and is perfect for travel (or just keeping in your bag for touch ups). One thing to remember...you really need to keep the container or compact tightly closed (otherwise your foundation will dry out).

Check out the website (of course) and take a peek at the Opulent Trio Beauty Box for Mothers' Day. There's even a fun step-by-step section for tips. You can also find Vincent Longo at Amazon and Beauty.com.
