Megan Fox looked stunning with her side-swept classic ‘do, with the help of hairstylist Andy Lecompte and Phyto. Below is Lecompte’s step-by-step to achieve Fox’s winning look.

Hairstylist Andy Lecompte was inspired to create a classic look for Megan Fox with a glamorous vibe to complement her stunning one-strap gown.

To achieve this look, Lecompte started by applying Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse before blow drying. He set her hair using a 3/4-inch barrel curling iron and then pin curls. Once he released the pin curls, Lecompte brushed out her hair and gave the hair a deep side part.

Hair Care Friday: Phytocitrus Restructuring Mask (review)

Oh my goodness – I actually made it through this week. I can't believe it's Friday! Not only is it Friday…it's Hair Care Friday. And this week, I'm reviewing a lovely mask from Phyto.

Phytocitrus Restructuring Mask - Color-Treated Hair

If you ever met me in person, you would realize right away that I color my hair. Mainly because reddish/brown hair with glints of purple doesn't really occur in nature. Not only do I color my already dry, curly hair; I'm also in the process of growing it out again. Which means I am constantly on the look out for anything that will promote good hair health (so I'll end up with long pretty hair vs. straw). This mask is made for people like me. It protects the color (reds fade more easily than other shades), and conditions beautifully.

I first tried it according to the instructions. I worked it through my hair, left it on for 5 minutes, then rinsed. I got great results – very soft hair and nice curls. But I like to wear hair masks overnight, so I also tried it that way. (And because I wear masks overnight, I really appreciated the lovely fragrance.) The texture is lovely (very creamy, easy to apply, and minimal "goo" factor); and the results from my overnight trial were spectacular. My hair was softer, bouncier and very very manageable all day long. Excellent!

Spend the Night Together: Phyto Phytodensium Mask (review)

That mildly lurid heading was solely for the purposes of drawing you into my blog. How cheap of me. But I'm in need of a cheap thrill or two. This week is kicking my butt. This is day #4 of my first week back after a lovely amount of time off, and it's year end. I am dragging.

Are you ready for the equally cheap segue way? Good. Ahem…

My hair, however, is not dragging. Last night I tried out a new hair mask from Phyto (pronounced "Feet-Oh"), and my hair is looking all vacation-ey again.

Phytodensium Mask

Aside from how much better my hair looks today; I'm also thrilled that this mask contains no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals or pthalates.

Attack of the Giant Fuzzball

Those of you who live in the desert and have stick-straight hair can pretty much ignore this post. Or you can read this and have deep, sorrowful compassion for those of us who battle…FRIZZ.

I love my curly hair. But I do not love the frizz factor that comes with it. And when summer humidity kicks in, my hair goes way beyond frizz and becomes a Giant Fuzzball.

So. Not. Pretty.

In the next few weeks, I'll be testing out some new hair products (and I'll be sure to let you know how it goes). In the meantime, I can tell you about two products that have already impressed the heck out of me.

Carol's Daughter Hair Milk
