“Street” Week/Hair Care Friday – Part 1: Miss Oops Block Your Locks SPF15 (review)

Due to postal considerations, “Tax Day” is April 18th this year instead of today. I’m not sure if that’s such a great thing because it means everyone is going to be stressed out about their taxes over the weekend instead of putting it all behind them on Friday. Ah well…mine is not to reason why.

But I thought the least I could do was give you all extra beauty fun today - enough for today and for the weekend. So in addition to all of the beauty news I just posted, I’m posting two hair care reviews.

No one can save you from the taxman, but Miss Oops may be able to save your hair color from the effects of the sun. Sunshine is nice, but it definitely fades color.

Miss Oops has come up with another handy way to fix stuff. This finishing spray comes in an easy to use aerosol can that sprayed an even light mist over my hair. It dried immediately, and felt absolutely weightless. It didn’t change my hair’s texture or interfere in anyway with the style. It just sat there like an invisible umbrella protecting my hair color. Excellent!

Yesterday it made no sense to talk about sun protection. It rained all day and I spent the evening wringing out my shirt. Luckily, it's all bright and sunny again. Perfect for reviewing a new sun protection item from Miss Oops.

I love this company! Not only are their products fun and pretty – they're also unbelievably useful. I fell in love last fall when I reviewed their awesome Survival Kit.

In true Miss Oops fashion, this product does double-duty. It's a neck/firming cream as well as a sunscreen! I don't have the dreaded "turkey neck" issue yet, so I can't say much about its firming qualities; but the skin on my neck is extremely sensitive, and it just loved this cream (er, I mean Goop). It also has a lovely (subtle) fragrance, feels heavenly going on, absorbs quickly, hydrates all day and doesn't rub off on my clothing! You go, Miss Oops! You go with your Goop!

May is National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month

You know I don't need any kind of special month to yammer on about the importance of sun protection. But my obsession aside; you will be your prettiest and healthiest if you take care of and protect your largest organ (skin).

Sun Protection Facts

Fix It: Miss Oops Survival Kit (review)

Oh, how much more fitting can it be that I am writing about Miss Oops today? I just made one heck of a giant "oops" and now feel like a great big dork. I won't go into details; but the short version is that I assumed something, told a certain guy something, realized I assumed the wrong thing and had to call said guy and have an embarrassing conversation.
