Wednesday Awareness-Raising Fluff: Go Red for Women/National Wear Red Day

February 5 is Go Red for Women Day (also known as National Wear Red Day). I decided to feature a bit of info each day to draw some attention to the event.

Go Red for Women Day is founded by the American Heart Association to promote awareness of heart disease for women. You can support this day by wearing red on Friday, February 5. You can also check out the Go Red website for more opportunities, events and ideas.

Today's Link: National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. Check out the website and read about their special campaign: The Heart Truth.

Red Beauty Suggestion(s): Since one of the basic activities of Go Red/National Wear Red Day is actually wearing red, I thought I'd post a few festive awareness-raising photos and ideas.

Just in case Friday is also your wedding day, check out the red bridal gowns at RedHotBrides.com.

Okay…(sound of brakes screeching to a halt)! You can still buy Red Dittos! Dittos! The mere fact that you can buy Dittos these days is amazing…but Red! I may just swoon.

Excuse me, but how cute are these Red Sneaks? Answer: Really darn cute.

And…Awww! Red Mary Janes are the cutest shoes of all.

Excuse me while I pass out from the adorableness of this blouse from polyvore.

And just in case you have to whip up a little something for dinner at a moment's notice, here's a snappy Red Hostess Apron!
